Credit Facilitator

POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Credit Facilitator to take ownership of the full credit control function, mentor others in credit discipline, and drive effective debt recovery processes.

This role offers the opportunity to blend hands-on credit management with training, collaboration, and leadership development.

This role is based in Roodepoort, Johannesburg West.

What You’ll Do:

• Full Credit Control: Manage the end-to-end credit lifecycle, including invoicing, reconciliations, collections, and dispute resolution.
• Risk Management: Monitor accounts, flag risks early, and implement recovery plans in line with policies.
• Debt Recovery: Lead structured follow-ups with Consultants and Managers, coordinating with Distributors and Area Managers for aligned recovery actions.
• Acknowledgement of Debt (AOD) Management: Prepare, track, and enforce AOD agreements; liaise with legal or credit bureaus where required.
• Training & Support: Deliver money management training to Consultants and Managers; support prospective distributors to encourage sound credit practices; and assist with awareness campaigns.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate account histories and comment logs; and prepare weekly and monthly management reports.
• Collaboration & Leadership Support: Mentor junior team members, assist with departmental planning, and gradually take on team oversight responsibilities.

• Diploma in Credit Management, Accounting, or a related financial field.
• 3–5 years credit control experience, including at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory capacity.
• Proven experience in field collections, AOD management, and system record-keeping.
• Fluent in English, with additional African languages an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
