Creditors Clerk

SUMMARY:
A private farm, situated between the towns of Ashton and Swellendam offers an opportunity to an experienced Creditors Clerk.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities

• Place orders
• Arrange courier services for orders
• Arrange payment (if cash creditor)
• Follow up on outstanding orders
• Convert orders into purchase invoices and match them with delivery notes
• Ensure correct coding and VAT handling of purchase invoices
• Creditors reconciliation
• Analysis of aging reports
• Filing and record-keeping
• Communicate with suppliers and resolve inquiries

• Matric
• 2-5+ years experience in similar role
• Computer literate ( Excel, Word,Outlook,etc.)
• Accounting software package experience
• Understand age analysis of accounts and understand general ledger structures
• References related to experience in a creditors clerk position (required)
• Tertiary qualification in an accounting-related field (advantageous)
• Experience working across multiple entities within a group of companies (advantageous)

• Good time management
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Work accurately and with attention to detail
• Punctuality
• Proficient in Afrikaans and English
