Creditors Controller – Pietermaritzburg
Our client in the NPO sector is seeking a meticulous and analytical Creditors Controller to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and administer the Trust’s financial systems and procedures
• Verify and process supplier invoices accurately and timeously
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal departments
• Ensure payments comply with organisational policies, SARS requirements, and internal workflows
• Process and maintain the Trust’s vendor database
• Prepare and generate monthly creditors reports (including ageing analysis and cash flow reports)
• Reconcile control accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Perform general bookkeeping duties
• Support accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and related processing tasks

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently studying towards a qualification)
• 2–3 years’ experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE 300)
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Strong analytical and reconciliation abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adapt to and respond effectively to changing priorities
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Must have own transport
