Creditors Manager

SUMMARY:
Creditors Manager position available in Stellenbosch. The right candidate will manage financial cost of sales, verify and review invoice information from vendors and making of payments.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Grade 12 - With Mathematics and/or Accounting as subjects
• 3-5 years in similar role managing a team
• Relevant tertiary education beneficial and preferred
• Previous experience/interest in logistics beneficial but preferred

Duties:

• Understand and comply with IFRS for SME’S
• Contribute to annual audit process for the group (pre-yearly audit meetings, coordination of Finance managers)
• Managing external stakeholder relationships (Shipping Lines) within defined parameters
• Share with FM/Group FM of weekly / monthly /quarterly progress / problem areas
• Identifying opportunities by evaluating current business trends, best practise research and principles
• Working closely with all business units to enhance and promote positive feedback loops and improvements
• Works closely with all managers and teams coaching and mentoring the team’s development and professional skills
• Improve and drive cross-functional team collaboration through accurate and focused forms of communication
• Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
• Identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement
• Support the FM to execute the finance strategy ensuring operational alignment with established plans and policies
• Manage and support their teams ensuring that they remain consistent with the business’s overall strategy
• Mentor key personnel in their business area, ensuring their constant professional growth, and assisting them in the execution of their duties where necessary
• People and team management of direct reports
• Managing resource capacity and cross skill growth opportunities
• Developing and growing people, focusing on the team’s core strengths and skills
• Building and maintain a healthy talent pool for this business unit
• Ensuring participative leadership and strong communication within the team
• Collaboration with all business areas
• Coaching and peer to peer learning
