Customer Service Consultant (IT)

Salary – up to +- R15 000.00 per month, depending on experience

Working hours: Monday – Friday; 08:00 to 16:30

A well-established firm has an opportunity for a customer service consultant to join their team on a permanent base in Ferndale, Johannesburg

Minimum requirements:

• Technically inclined
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Basic T-SQL Querying (1-2 years)
• Basic understanding of web applications
• Experience using SQL to update and retrieve data
• SQL Reporting Services
• SQL Integration Services
• Ticketing System
• Experience in a support team environment.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Duties includes, but not limited to:

• Support users telephonically (Web Application Support)
• User contact and communication (telephonic and digital)
• Previous experience with Ticketing system and CRM (Advantageous)
• Proficient in SQL (Advantageous)
• Must be able to work shift
• Ability to effectively handle stress, pressures, and challenges
• Answering of the helpdesk escalations
• Development of SQL queries that support the support process
• Work alongside other departments to achieve company goals and visions
• Meeting support SLA
• The Customer Service Consultant will need to use SQL to query the many databases that we operate to solve some problems. This is an essential skill. Problems can range from reports not balancing, users entering incorrect parameters to development bugs
• The Team Leader may be required to provide systems training to some user groups on and ad-hoc basis. This may require some travel to locations within South Africa
