JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the retail industry is seeking to employ an experienced Cycle Count Clerk to join their Cape Town team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure that daily counts are done according to the prescribed requirements
Generate a count on Kerridge.
Preform the physical count
Consolidate the count from multiple locations
Convert the box quantity via the count template .
Input the count onto Kerridge count ( using the unique header)
Run the variance report .
Recount the variances to ensure the count is correct m re capture incorrect counts Investigate the variances by checking receipts , dispatches , breakages
Investigate variances by reviewing previous counts , BI & BO, review the card to ensure transactions have processed correctly
The incumbent will also be required to avail himself in assisting external auditors to perform their and also finalise variance counts.
Once the counts are approved the adjustment report must checked against the final variance to ensure correctness. The cycle counts are file in date order per site.
The incumbent will also be responsible ensuring the location maintenance is preformed weekly to ensure accuracy.
The incumbent will also be required complete BI & BO for adjustment of stock and also to facilitate repacking of sample packs.

Warehousing and stock control methods and procedures.
Methods of receiving, inspecting and issuing materials.
Warehouse operations, procedures, equipment and terminology.
Space utilization and inventory techniques.
Health and safety regulations.
Inventory methods and practices.
Principles and practices of training and providing work direction.
Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.

ABILITY TO:

Utilize space efficiently and effectively.
Maintain inventory.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Maintain accurate records of stock transactions.

KEY PREORMANCE INDICATORS

Ensure physical stock vs system is 80% accurate.

Ensure the line for line accuracy is equal of exceeds 80%.

Ensure that each site is counted in full once a month

Maintain location accuracy 98% via location maintenance update weekly

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must have Matric
Warehouse Diploma advantageous
Minimum of 3 years in warehousing environment experience, not negotiable
