SUMMARY:
Cookhouse area – Eastern Cape: Our client is looking for a Dairy Manager to join the team.
POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2-3 years’ Dairy farming experience
- Hardworking, honest, and loyal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and staff management abilities
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Able to take initiative, while still being willing to take guidance, and advice
- Willing to work longer hours when necessary
- Computer literacy essential
- Xhosa language skills advantageous
- Pasture management knowledge advantageous
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: - Key role in supporting Senior Manager in all daily farm activities
- Accurate data entry into Afikim and 4th Quadrant
- Daily Dairy Operations
- Dairy duties every second weekend
- Helping with seasonal tasks such as calving, planting, and more
- Managing staff and allocating their daily work
- General farm work, plus machinery and irrigation maintenance
