POSITION INFO:

WE ARE ASSISTING ONE OF OUR CLIENTS IN THE BANKING SECTOR TO FILL A ROLE OF A DATA MODELLER

THIS IS A CONTRACT FOR 3 YEARS

Objective of this Scope of Work

The incumbent will be responsible for designing, implementing and documenting data modelling solutions which include but not limited to the use of relational, dimensional and NoSQL databases within FinSurv. The successful candidate will be supporting projects and other initiatives that span across the organisation.

The scope will include but will not be limited to:

Design, implement and document data modelling solutions which include but not limited to the use of relational, dimensional and NoSQL databases
Develop and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models as required by FinSurv Divisions and their various programmes
Identify and adopt an enterprise data model as a standard for data model designs to leverage best practice and fast track modelling efforts
Monitor, measure and report the data modelling and data development quality levels to ensure the correct information is captured on business requirements.
Assume the key responsibility for remediation of data models and data development issues.
Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts.

To develop and manage stakeholder relations effectively to promote data modelling awareness across FinSurv and the wider organisation and support reliable decision making.

Minimum qualification Required:

An appropriate Post-Graduate qualification (BSc, Engineering or similar).
Relevant programming qualifications and / or certifications
Relevant Agile certification is preferable

The following experience is required for this role:

10 to 12 years’ job-related experience within information management.
