A busy, well-established Dental Practice in Simon's Town, Cape Town , is seeking a professional, organised, and customer-focused Dental Receptionist\/Administrator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dental receptionist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing exceptional patient service while ensuring the smooth day-to-day administration of a busy dental practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the reception area, supporting the clinical team, and maintaining efficient administrative processes. Key Responsibilities: Welcoming patients in a warm, professional, and friendly manner. Managing appointments, diary scheduling, and patient communications. Answering telephone calls, emails, and general patient enquiries. Processing patient registrations and maintaining accurate patient records. Managing medical aid claims, billing, invoicing, and payment allocations. Performing general reception and administrative duties. Ensuring numerical accuracy when processing accounts and payments. Liaising with patients, clinicians, laboratories, and suppliers where required. Assisting with practice administration and maintaining organised filing systems. Ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with practice policies. Supporting the practice team to ensure the smooth daily operation of the practice. Requirements: Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist \/ Administrator is essential. Intermediate level experience within a dental practice. Experience using Exact Dental Software or a similar dental practice management system is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office . Sound knowledge of medical aid claims, dental billing, and practice administration. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail with a high level of numerical accuracy. Excellent organisational and time management skills. High level of integrity, professionalism, and trustworthiness. Computer literate with the ability to learn new systems quickly. Own reliable transport is essential. Remuneration: R13,000 – R19,000 per month before deductions , depending on experience. Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 07:30 – 16:00 & 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month: 07:30 – 13:00 Start Date: As soon as possible.
