DEVELOPMENT C & I / SOFTWARE / ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

SUMMARY:
Our Client based in Sandton is looking for a Development C & I Software/Electrical Engineer

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent required
• BTech/BSc (Eng.) or equivalent
• Registration with a professional society would be preferred
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Control & Instrumentation systems both in a software and hardware development role
• Experience in developing product under ISO13485 for medical devices
• Electronics and embedded processors advantageous 
• Micro controllers (plc, intel, Atmel, micro processors) advantageous 
• Documentation control: ISO 9001 advantageous 
• Big advantage  Signal and/or image processing
• Analyse needs and generate specifications and project plan
• Generate required C&I/Software/Electrical system functional description and/or control philosophy and interface documentation
• Design and develop C&I/Software/Electrical system
• Generate Acceptance Test Instructions (ATI) and corresponding Acceptance Test Result sheets (ATR)
• Generate applicable manuals
• Maintain existing C&I/Software/Electrical systems by updating and/or fixing bugs and document if necessary
• Update data pack and/or C&I/Software/Electrical applications release version
• Support production & service personnel when required
• Provide training to production & service personnel when required
• Know and adhere to processes required to maintain certification
• Create new processes if required
• Provide inputs to the technical file where required
• Ensure adherence of development processes to compliance standards
• Maintain existing software/hardware by updating and/or fixing bugs and document if necessary
• Update data pack and/or software release version
• Adhere to change process Competencies

• Analytical Ability - comparing data from different sources; identifying cause and effect relationship
