DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Centurion, is looking for a dynamic digital communications specialist to join their team

POSITION INFO:

Duties:

Social Media:

• Social Media community management on all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube)
• Facebook Group management
• Assisting with weekly Facebook Live streams
• Assist with writing social media captions based on monthly social media content plan

Website Management:

• Website community management (includes monitoring and approving comments on a daily basis)
• Creating and managing product descriptions, focus key phrase, key words, meta descriptions, alt tags, tags on the Webstore and annique.com 
• Updating and loading content on the blog on website
• Loading and updating content on the Academy (Product and Business)
• Updating monthly banners on Webstore and annique.com
• SEO administration and maintenance

Design Project Management:

• Project coordinator of digital and other design special projects across all departments (middleman between designer and other departments)
• Assist with designing ad hoc designs in house (WhatsApp images , gifs, product ads, Zoom invites)

PR & Media:

• Reaching out to media houses, receiving monthly briefs from media and pushing product coverage
• Sharing in house press releases with media and public
• Building relationships with key media

Requirements:

• A recognised, relevant tertiary qualification (Marketing, Communications or Media Studies)
• Knowledge, understanding and experience of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest, as well as emerging platforms etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
• A thorough understanding of social media platform guidelines, policies
• SEO best practices
• Experience in digital tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer and Mailchimp
• An understanding of copyright infringement and consumer privacy on digital platforms
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, MS Office
• Video editing skills, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro / iMovie and other
• Understanding of website backend (Wordpress and Elementer)
• A minimum of two year’s working experience in digital communications
• Project management skills and the ability to drive deadlines
• Ability to adapt and change
• Time management and multitasking
• Ability to work in a stressful environment
• Effective communication skills
• Relations with key media representatives
• Excellent writing and visual communication skills
