Duties:

Perform regular Data Monitoring and Analysis (DMA) reviews.
Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering skill development and collaboration.
Act as a bridge between stakeholders and the data team to ensure alignment on objectives.
Perform advanced data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that drive decision-making.
Validate statistical outputs to ensure they meet industry-recognized standards.
Work closely with department leaders to address challenges and improve operational workflows.
Take on additional tasks as needed to support team objectives.
Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to integrate innovative solutions.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
Degrees in Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering will also be considered.

Experience:

5 - 8 Years experience within Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related fields.
Practical experience with software tools such as Python, R, or C++ is advantageous.
Extensive hands-on experience with SQL, Tableau or Power BI

Skills & Competencies:

Demonstrated ability to lead teams, set goals, and manage performance.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or similar methodologies is an advantage.
Strong aptitude for analysing data and solving problems, with a focus on actionable insights.
Expertise in statistical methods and techniques for data interpretation.
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, for presenting detailed findings clearly.
Keen attention to detail and dedication to precision and quality.
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
Ability to work autonomously and effectively collaborate in a team setting.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
