SUMMARY:
Our client in a Telecom industry based in Cape Town is looking for a Data Analyst for a contract role until end of March 2022. With a possibility of renewal based on performance.

POSITION INFO:

Candidate will need to :
Perform Analytical services in the following 3 domains of client (in this order) :
a.      clinet Financial Services
b.      Digital Lifestyle Services
c.      FTTX (fibre)

Thus any experience in Financial services – specifically Long term or/and short term will be advantageous.
They will perform :
a.      Information gathering with Product owners
b.      Investigation of requirements
c.      Impact assessments (due to changes in the business)
d.      Delivery of BRS, URS or CR (template available)
e.      Plotting projects using JIRA (Guidance will be given if needed)
f.       Perform UAT with Business and/or Vendor

Skills required :
a.      GSM/Telco experience
b.      Insurance – long or short term experience
c.      Use of JIRA and Confluence
d.      No coding will be required
e.      Knowledge of SQL (needs to understand how scripts are written i.e. able to read and understand)
f.       Big Data experience would be advantageous
g.      Strong presentation skills
h.      Able to translate Business requirements into Technical Requirements – if required
i.       Excellent verbal and written skills
j.       Customer focus with regards to understanding the service being delivered
k.      Handles multiple tasks, switches priorities and focuses as needed.
l.       Exhibits high degree of pro-activeness

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
a.      Matric is essential
b.      A   relevant Diploma
c.      A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the digital or related industry (essential)
d.      Relevant SQL
e.      Good knowledge of APIs & integrations
f.       Machine learning/Big Data knowledge useful
