Data Analyst

SUMMARY:
Looking for a Data Analyst with retail industry exposure, knowledge of complex IT environments, compliance and IT Governance.

POSITION INFO:

My client is a reputable retail company with multiple brands to their name and over 30 years of industry experience. The successful incumbent will report to the Visualization and Reporting Manager and will be required to interpret and analyze data using statistical techniques, turn it into information and suggest ways of improving business, subsequently affecting business decisions.  

Duties:

• Data visualization, reporting, strategy and policy processes
• Trend and/or patterns identification, analysis and interpretation of complex data sets
• Filter and clean data through system IT/information systems reviews
• Conduct full lifecycle analysis using audit and data reports
• Ensure upholding and compliance of governance, procedures and standards.
• Collaboration and engagement with business and IT to improve data analytics.
• Effective communication to manage internal and customer expectations.
• Stakeholder, customer and project management.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics etc.)
• Postgraduate degree – advantageous

Experience:

• 4 – 7 years’ experience in Data Analytics
• Credit Experience – essential
• High level of mathematical ability - essential
• SAS VA, AWS, SQL and Python experience – essential
• SAP Retail architecture, implementation and operations
