Data Analyst

SUMMARY:
Data Analyst required to design and deliver world class insights in collaboration with the brand strategy team. This will involve analysing sales and IOT data to craft compelling analytics for both client and internal needs.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Collecting and interpreting data to provide insights and facilitate value-adding insight for retailers and brand programmes
• Analysing results by providing actionable solutions for the strategic teams on brand and retailer programmes
• Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns
• Using tools and techniques to visualise data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs
• Preparing dashboards & reports and presenting these to management or clients
• Monitoring data quality and removing corrupt data
• Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
• Working alongside various teams within the business to answer data-relevant questions, provide insights and conduct testing for the purpose of optimisation
• Contribute to Product development by building data platforms and data modelling to visualise and analyse insights

• Bachelor’s Degree: BSc in Computer Science/Mathematics, BEng or BCom/BBusSci
• 3-5 years previous experience in a similar role
• Retail or Marketing industry experience
• Analytically minded with strong attention to detail
• Strong skills with Microsoft Excel, Tableau and Google Analytics
• Google Data Studio, Nielsen, 5One, Dunhumby experience advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills - the ability to identify trends, patterns and insights from data
• Presentation skills - ability to write and speak clearly to easily communicate complex ideas in a way that is easy to understand
• A good communicator with effective stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills
• The ability to travel as necessary.
