Data Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen for one of our esteemed clients for the exciting position of a Data Analyst. Are you the right person for this opportunity?

Job Description:
Ensuring that the business requirements and subsequent development activities are supported by accurate information.
Acquire data from various data sources and combine & transform data into interpretable datasets, reports, or dashboards.
Work directly with Management and other business users to gather requirements, provide status updates and build relationships.
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to analyze information needs, functionality requirements, and business processes.
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
Facilitating requirement gathering workshops with the business.
Supporting and maintaining the project data models at multiple levels of detail and functionality (conceptual, logical, normalized, relational, dimensional, application level, subject-level, integrated, etc.)
Interpret data, analyse results using analytical techniques and provide reports and/or dashboards
Extending the company’s data with third party sources of information when required to do so.
Presenting information using data visualization techniques
Performing data profiling of data contained in source systems
Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
Providing data mapping and associated transformation rules for each data item

Skills & Experience:
Strong knowledge and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects), databases (SAP HANA, Cloudera), querying (SQL)
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Minimum 3 Years+ of experience performing data analytics
Business experience in financial services will be a strong advantage
Previous experience in working in an agile environment.
Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Experience working with data in various data sources and databases.

Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or proven experience-based equivalent
