A global giant in the banking industry is currently looking for a Data Analyst for their ever-rising organisation.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Description:

To provide expertise and support through translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions by analysing data, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending improvements to data quality, access, and management. Using a combination of analytical expertise and business acumen the incumbent will extract reporting requirements from business and deliver on this.

Education and Skills:

Minimum Qualification: Relevant BSc or BCom degree.
Preferred Qualification: Honours degree with focus in Information Management Dama Certification.
Minimum Experience: 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience.
Data problem solving
Data profiling of data sets
Ability to quantify impact of data issues to business users
MS-SQL skills -(write complex queries and scripts)
MS Excel skills for Data Analysis & Classification (PIvot Tables, Vlookups)
Documenting of Business Requirements
Documenting of Technical Solution
Writing of Test Strategy & Test plan to verify solution implemented correctly
Execution of test plan and recording of results
Prior experience with Data Quality Management & Data Cleansing
Prior experience with Master Data Management
Ability to learn technical software (we use Informatica, Ab Initio, Kafka, Control M)
Ability to work alone and unguided and propose solutions to data problems
