Data Architect - Manchester
A data driven organisation are looking for a Data Architect to add to their relatively small, but high performing architecture team.
Your role
You''ll be critical in designing and road mapping the data architecture and pushing for transformation in a company where data drives every strategic decision; influencing the structure of data for the entire company. You''ll work alongside Engineers, Scientists and Technical Leads, but also as an advisor for key stakeholders in IT and the wider business teams.
This role is ideal for an experienced architect to begin a new role on an exciting journey, where you''ll face some complex challenges as you immerse yourself within the data to set a clear direction on the approach to business intelligence, data migration and ETL.
Your new company
A well-respected company in Manchester who have in recent years invested heavily in data, initially focusing on relatively simple problems, before broadening their reach and recently hiring a stellar Senior team to lead the charge.
They have a complex structure across the Group, with lots of different data sources and lots to consider from an architectural point of view.
Your experience
You''ll need to be the go-to person on all things data, as you''ll be brought in to explain data for conversations with non-technical stakeholders, giving them a clear understanding of what you''re doing, from proof-of-concept to the final product.
From a technical standpoint you''ll be an expert in data warehouse solutions or cloud-based data lakes, with an understanding of data modelling and database design. You will also understand how deploying data can support complex machine learning projects and be able to lead others through the transformation.
