We have an opportunity for a Data Cloud Engineer for ourÂ IT Consulting client for a 6 month contract.

Data Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Work within an Agile Scrum team to manage data within the cloud according to architecture principles and security guidelines
- Work closely with developers to produce cutting edge solutions
- Interpret requirements/stories, design and implement data solutions
- Provide hands-on data-centric development where needed
- To be part of a diverse team of professionals
Skills and Experience:
Requirements:
- Degree/National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering
- Earned cloud certifications
- Strong data experience
- Strong hands-on knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including: VPC, VPN, firewalls, REST, SOAP, TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, etc
- Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS native services such as
- Strong hands-on experience developing cloud data pipelines from s3 buckets through transformation and staging to landing in Redshift
- Experience managing and operating high availability, fault tolerant, scalable, automated systems
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
