Data Engineer – Johannesburg(Hybrid) – up to R650K per annum

POSITION INFO:

A cyber risk startup on a mission to make SaaS security compliance smart, effortless, and simple by creating an automated end-to-end solution for startups and tech enterprises that struggle with meeting security audit demands, seek a passionate and hands-on Data Engineer to contribute to the development of our revolutionary Compliance-as-a-Service platform, you will play a crucial role in building and enhancing our cloud-based platform, automating IT auditing for SaaS globally.

Responsibilities:

Manage ETL processes from internal and external sources
Contribute to early decision-making, architecture, design, and technological research.
Implement integrations with third-party providers
Design and develop Scytale’s new cloud-based platform using cutting-edge technologies such as AWS
Cloud, Spark, Airflow, Snowflake containerised microservices, and more
Collaborate with multiple teams, customers, and stakeholders to establish a robust data pipeline
Serve as a cornerstone in the company’s core development team

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
1+ years of hands-on experience in Python (recent)
Experience with Spark and Airflow
Proficient in data pipelines, ETLs, data warehouses, etc
Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
Familiarity with REST APIs
Experience with the following technologies: Teradata, Power BI, MSSQL, Hive

The Reference Number for this position is NG58802 which is a Permanent Hybrid position based in Johannesburg offering a cost to company negotiable from R450k up to R650k per annum negotiable on experience and ability.
