SUMMARY:
My client, a leading Fintech company based in Cape Town, is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join their  innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in data engineering with experience in the finance sector, helping to drive their data-driven initiatives forward.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications:

• Matric
• Degree or equivalent

• 4+ years' experience in developing data solutions including analysis, design, coding, testing, deploying, and supporting applications
• Proficient in data application/software architecture
• Experience working SQL & Python knowledge and experience working with relational databases
• Experience building and optimising ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
• Experience in operations of a big data ecosystem
• The ability to build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata,dependency, and workload management
• Experience working with Fintech data

• Building high-performance Data Platforms that service multiple Data and Business Services
• Expanding and optimising our data and data pipeline architecture
• Optimizing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams
• Optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up
• Supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products
