Data Engineer - Leeds - Remote
Data Engineer required to join an expanding analytics company based in Leeds, as they continue to grow after some impressive client wins and big plans for 2021.
They are a well-established consultancy offering bespoke data solutions and services with some very ambitious plans. The company has grown steadily for the past few years, after a slight re-structure of their offering and have managed to grow throughout the Covid period.
They boast contracts with some pretty impressive household names, who trust them to build complex data solutions and work closely with their internal teams.
You''ll be joining at a good time as even though they are growing rapidly there is still a real start-up feel (very lean, agile and fast) and you will have a big impact on not just your team and projects, but the whole team.
You will join a tight knit data engineering team in what will be a predominantly client facing role, helping customers understand what is possible with their data and explaining this to technical and non-technical people alike.
This role offers the chance to work with a range of interesting technology/approaches, including: AWS, Python, Spark, Pandas, Databricks, CI/CD and the chance to be involved across the full lifecycle of data projects.
This role will suit a seasoned Data Engineer or a Software Developer with a great appreciation for data and analytics, but ultimately you will possess a genuine passion for data, a strong customer focus and ability to solve complex problems.
Ideal experience:
** Sound knowledge of working with Apache Spark, Pandas, Databricks
** Python / Scala / C# - or equivalent scripting language
** Experience building data pipelines (CI/CD)
** Experience in using cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure or GCP)
** Capable of working in a client-facing environment, and ensuring all project deadlines are met on time and to an excellent standard
