POSITION INFO:

A once in a lifetime opportunity has become available for a Data Engineer in one of South Africa’s leading Medical Companies.

Duties:

Data Engineering Research
Identify gaps by staying abreast of industry standards and best practices.
Understand business needs and and turn them into technical solutions by partnering with business and data colleagues to determine and refine requirements.
Efficient management of data platforms i.e. data management, storage, access to data, data science and traditional reporting tools.
Identify and source data that will meet stakeholder requirements.
Clean data as required to ensure accuracy.
Convert data into an easily understandable format to ensure that stakeholders can interpret data in a way that meets the objectives of the requests
Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics or a combination hereof
5 years’ Data Engineering experience
SQL Experience and working with large scale data etc.
Cloud Data Engineering Experience
Experience with distributed data processing such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Nifi and Hbase is advantageous.
Data engineering certifications such as Python, Microsoft, AWS, Hadoop, big data and cloud infrastructure advantageous.
