Data Engineer

Responsible for the curation of the various solution architecture diagrams to support the Enterprise Architecture and company strategy

Assists all other technology teams with guidance and specialist skillset whenever required

Assist in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the IT hosting and cloud infrastructure

Ensures security policies as implemented in all solutions

Evaluate artefacts produced by technical teams for completeness and technical accuracy

Assist in the planning and management of infrastructure capacity

Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions

Proactively identify and develop preventative maintenance schedule of activities to avoid failures Deliver continuous improvement through operational excellence initiatives and drive significant improvements in service and uptime

Daily data importing from disparate sources as required

Fine tuning data processes

Make constructs from data tables for use in data science and other processing

Readying data for visualization

Microsoft SQL server on Azure cloud-based services

T-SQL

Databases, tables, functions and stored procedures, with specific attention to performance tuning and security in large scale environments

SQL ETL skills without using SSIS or data factory

Master Data, Contextual data and reporting data

System requirements specification

Object-oriented analysis

Technical recommendations and testing

Deep IT Technical skillset in the deployed technologies
