Roles and responsibilities:

Develop and maintaining back-end code to perform the required data manipulation to make it ready for analysis
Develop and maintain ETL and data integration processes between systems and the data warehouse
Responsible for ensuring security and compliance of data transfer, storage, and processing
Responsible for improving data quality and data integrity in the data warehouse
Provide data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers
Exploratory analysis
Assist with data analysis on data used across business units to evaluate business processes and improve on/create a new feature

Skills and qualifications :

Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science/Information Systems/Engineering/Analytics or related field
5+ years working experience within the data engineering, data architect or data analysis environment
Experience with SQL, R, Python, and other Data Manipulation Software
Exposure to modern data architectures including unstructured databases, streaming data, message queues, cloud deployment, and distributed computing
Experience with security controls, managing private and/or sensitive data
A minimum of 2 years experience working with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
A minimum of 2 years experience in one of the following BI tools (Qlik, Sisense, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau)
Proven track record of successful communication of data infrastructure, data models, and data engineering solutions through written communication, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Data-driven and passionate about analytics
