JOB SUMMARY:
Are you a Data Engineer with intermediate exposure to the compliance, IT Governance and knowledge of emerging trends across Data/Analytics? Then this one is for you!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A leading retail/commercial company is looking for a Data Engineer who will be responsible for driving, designing and building scalable ETL systems for a big data warehouse to implement robust and trustworthy data. capable of turning data into information that can help improve the business and its functionality. The individual needs to have strong mathematical capabilities, a thorough understanding of ML algorithms, predictive models, and real-time data visualization.

Duties:

SDLC and Agile methodology
Knowledge of retail industry data models
Adept at design and development of ETL processes.
SQL Development experience
Ability to ingest/output CSV, JSON and other flat file types
Design and implement ETL pipelines
Build data quality metrics
Stakeholder engagement
Conduct data cleaning
Perform data pre-processing
Translate meta-data into reports and visuals

Qualifications:

Degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Finance/Economics, Engineering/IT
Postgraduate degree – advantageous

Experience:

5 - 10 years experience in data warehousing (Kimball methodology)
SAS, AWS, SQL, Python/R
