Duties:

Align architecture with business requirements
Data acquisition
Develop data set processes
Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
Conduct research for industry and business questions
Use large data sets to address business issues
Deploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods
Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modelling
Find hidden patterns using data
Use data to discover tasks that can be automated
Deliver updates to stakeholders based on analytics

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)

Degree in a quantitative field (Actuarial Science, Mathematical Science, Computer Science, Engineering) NQF level 7

Experience:

4 years of development and programming skills
Experience with big data platform tools such as Hadoop
Programming and development experience in Python and SQL
Experience in SAS will be advantageous
Visual Basic, R, C# and Java Script will be advantageous
Familiar with DAMA DMBOK
Financial mathematics and modelling skills
