Global technology company, with a platform used by millions daily, HQ''d in Edinburgh with another office in Glasgow are looking for a number of Senior Data Engineers to join their growing team.
A data rich organisation, they have recently invested heavily into their data engineering function as they continue to evolve their offering and understand their customers better.
Your new role…
With billions of new rows of data every day you will never be bored. With how they set up their teams you will have plenty to work on and you will have full autonomy and ownership over these projects.
You will have core tech that is in place across all their projects, but if there is something that you think will be more beneficial for a certain piece of work, this is definitely encouraged.

You will be collecting data from a couple of different sources to allow them to understand their customers, but also their wider business partners. Both are equally important as they give key insights into how different areas of the business are functioning. The more they understand, the better they can perform.

As a Senior in this company, you will be expected to be the technical authority on all things data engineering, helping more junior members of the team to progress their skills.
Tech stack wise, they aren''t super precious - let''s be honest, some new technologies will come along in 3 months and you''ll be learning that anyway!
But a core grounding in Python, AWS as a cloud platform, Databricks, Tableau and obviously some SQL skills - whether that be Postgres or MySQL - would all help your cause, but obviously a mixture of these and anything else you may have worked with is great!

The salary is pretty flexible depending on experience, but likely to be in the region of £60,000 to £80,000 plus a really strong benefits package, including stock options, bonus and pension.
In a post pandemic world, it is likely you''ll spend a couple of days a week in the office - which is no bad thing, as they are incredible, however, they know everyone is slightly different in what they want so will try make sure everyone is catered for.
