Data Engineer - Johannesburg – R480k to R720k per annum

POSITION INFO:
A Software company with premier custom software and product development, delivering custom-made solutions for large enterprises as well as dynamic start-ups is looking for a Data Engineer to join an environment of like-minded engineers who are able to express themselves freely and pursue their individual and professional growth whilst effectively working within teams to overcome challenges and accomplish set goals. Responsibilities: Build data warehouse components on Teradata warehouse Present data on dashboards and visualisations on Power BI Comply with all data governance, like documenting data definitions and business glossaries delivering a client project at a financial Build data systems and pipelines Evaluate business needs and objectives Interpret trends and patterns Conduct complex data analysis and report on results Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modelling Qualifications and experience: BSc Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification 3-5 years' proven experience as a Data Analyst or a related role. Experience with the following technologies: Teradata, Power BI, MYSQL, Hive Experience with Data API's services company. Experience in ETL processes. Experience on the Ab Initio platform (advantageous) The Reference Number for this position is NG59319 which is a Contract Hybrid position based in Fourways, Johannesburg offering a cost to company of R480k up to R720k per annum negotiable on experience and ability.
