POSITION INFO:

We're hiring a Data Engineering Lead in Cape Town to build intelligent, secure, and scalable data ecosystems for high-demand, real-time analytics. You'll drive the architecture, guide a high-performing team, and partner with leadership to deliver BI and data solutions that power decision-making across the business. Reach out to: Duties: Lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions. Build and maintain robust ETL\/ELT pipelines, integrating data across diverse sources. Drive optimisation of data models for analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases Ensure adherence to governance, security, and compliance protocols. Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to define platform strategy and data architecture. Mentor and manage a team of BI Developers and Data Engineers to cultivate innovation and high performance. Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Experience: 7+ years in data engineering, analytics or BI. 2+ years in a Senior BI Developer or similar role. Previous leadership experience preferred. Exposure to large-scale data systems and cloud-based solutions Skills & Competencies: Expertise in SQL, data modelling, and the Microsoft BI stack or equivalent. Proficient in building scalable pipelines and integrating data systems. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to lead multiple projects and mentor technical teams.
