POSITION INFO:

My client, a registered credit provider, is urgently seeking a Lead Data Engineer or their Credit Risk and Decision support Department, responsible for creating business value by leading a team that apply data engineering and data management discip[lines to design and build data solutions that enable data driven decision support, in order to optimize business decision and processes.

The Lead Data Engineer reports directly to the Head: Decision Support.

KPA’s include:

-        Data solutions; sourcing data, loading data, storing data, enhancing data, managing data

-        Personal, people and functional leadership

Functional Competencies:

-        SQL

-        Data analysis

-        Data visualization

-        Data modelling

-        Microsoft business intelligence data technologies (SSIS, SSAS, SQL Server)

-        Data warehouse concepts and best practices

-        Applying professional / specialist technical expertise

-        Planning and organizing

Requirements:

-        Degree in IT / Mathematics / Engineering / Actuarial Science or related.

-        8+ Years of experience in a technical role, preferably in a formal data, data warehouse or business intelligence environment

-        Previous management experience is desirable but not essential
