Data Engineer and Management Specialist

• To be responsible for the solutions and architecture for processing data with the objective of transforming raw data into a valuable asset and tool for all business units, locally and internationally to meet their mandate and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the data scientist to produce algorithms for the practical application of data.
• Data Engineering Management
• Manage and organize the organization’s data
• Develop, construct, test and maintain data architectures
• Align architecture with business requirements
• Develop data set processes
• Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
• Design, develop, implement and maintain Oracle/Microsoft SQL applications.
• Manage all steps of data processing and visualisation
• Develop dashboards, reports and other visualizations
• Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modelling
• Find hidden patterns using data
• Monitor and review data inconsistencies
• Maintain all SQL / PLSQL processes.
• CRM integration to multiple platforms.
• Ensure DB availability.
• SQL database design
• Optimize data retrieval and integration processes with 3rd party data sources

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree: Information Technology/Programming, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistical Modelling, Data Management
• 2+ years' experience as a data engineer / modeller experience in a BI environment.
• Data API management
• Algorithms and data structures
• ETL tools set-up, roll-out and maintenance
• Database systems management (SQL and NoSQL)
• Data warehousing and management solutions management, understanding of the Microsoft and google tech stack, include of Azure and Google cloud, are required.
• Must have experience with programming languages such PL/SQL coding
• Experience should include DB design (modelling and normalisation), capacity planning, performance tuning, storage management, back-up and recovery, managing schemas, report generation and DB clustering technologies
• Ideally Oracle Certified DB Professional and or Microsoft SQL certification
• Python, Java, and Scala programming language skills
• Understanding the basics of distributed systems such as Hadoop
