My client in the Consulting industry, is seeking to appoint a Apache Spark Data Engineer to join their super dynamic team. This position will be based in Johannesburg but a remote candidate in other areas in South Africa will also be considered.

POSITION INFO:

My client in the Consulting industry, is seeking to appoint a Apache Spark Data Engineer to join their super dynamic team. This position will be based in Johannesburg but a remote candidate in other areas in South Africa will also be considered.

Requirements:

(MUST) Apache Spark experience using Spark’s Python API (pyspark)
(MUST) Amazon Webservices experience ideally including:

AWS Glue, a Spark based serverless ETL engine and services
AWS Code Commit
AWS Code Build
AWS Cloud Formation

(MUST) Extensive engineering/development experience

automated testing
some Continuous integration knowledge
Polyglot (2+ programming languages)

Mindset: Must love tech and have an eye for detail
