Data Management Developer

SUMMARY:
Our Client is seeking a qualified, with excellent experience Data Management Developer. Experience in developing in SQL Server, optimising SQL, BI tools, SSRS or SSAS as well as DBA and Business analysis experience.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• 10 years + developing in SQL Server (including XML and JSON handling).
• 10 years + optimising SQL experience.
• 10 years + BI in Excel experience (including PowerBI with advanced DAX skills PowerPivot, powerview, powermaps and powerquery)
• 5 years + warehousing experience (Kimble)
• Good Quality experience on BI Tools with a good understanding of associative relationships (QlikView) with advanced set analysis preferable – otherwise must have advanced M and DAX skills)
• Skilled experience in SSRS or SSAS.
• DBA experience
• Business analysis experience
• .NET with experience in writing and consuming both SOAP and REST.

• VBA
• Retail experience
• Set Analysis
• MDS and DQS experience
• Postgres experience
• MySQL experience
• Web development (PHP or ASP or JSP etc)
• Analysis Services and MDX
• Exposure to an OLTP POS preferably Intouch
• PowerBI with advanced DAX skills

 Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

• Development of high-quality database solutions.
• Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL.
• Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.
• Research required data.
• Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables.
• Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Suggest new queries.
• Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.
• Provide timely scheduled management reporting.
• Investigate exceptions regarding asset movements.
• Translate business needs to technical specifications.
• Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g., reporting tools).
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms.
• Create tools to store data.
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.
• Develop and update technical documentation.
• Develop and implement procedures for effective data management.
• Create rules and procedures for data sharing.
• Oversee and manage staff members in the daily use of data systems.
• Guarantee adherence to legal and company regulations.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate information and data systems that could affect analytical results.
• Assess system performance and make recommendations for software, hardware, and data storage improvements.
• Manage all incoming data files.
• Continually develop data management strategies.
• Assist with recognizing and upholding digital security systems to protect delicate information.
