Our client is a leading credit management and financial solutions company, known for innovation and data-driven decision-making. They’re looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join their high-performance analytics team in Cape Town. Key Responsibilities:

• Work with large, complex datasets to uncover insights and drive business value.
• Build and enhance predictive models to optimize debt recovery and financial strategies.
• Apply machine learning and AI techniques to streamline internal processes.
• Collaborate across teams to support data-driven decisions.
• Use Python, R, and SQL to explore, automate, and visualize data.
• Receive mentorship while contributing from day one.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field;
• OR up to 1 year of experience in a data-focused role (bonus if in financial services, credit, or fintech).
• Experience with machine learning, AI, or analytics projects, either academic or personal.
• Passionate about solving real-world problems using data.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic corporate environment.
• Technical proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
• A team player with excellent communication skills and a growth-driven mindset.
