POSITION INFO:

A fast-growing tech innovator is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep data science expertise to design, build, and productionize machine learning and AI capabilities in high-throughput, real-time distributed systems. You’ll own features end-to-end—from ideation through deployment—while collaborating with talented engineers in a supportive, dynamic environment. This is an opportunity to deliver solutions that truly matter, all within a flexible hybrid model in Cape Town.

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 4+ years of hands-on data science or data-centric software engineering
Strong proficiency in Python and/or Java
Proven experience shipping ML/AI models to production
Solid SQL skills and comfort with large-scale datasets
Unix/Linux environments, scripting, and networking fundamentals
CI/CD pipelines, containers (Docker/K8s), and microservices architecture
Feature engineering, model validation, and performance monitoring
Bonus points: Kafka, NLP, LLMs, RAG, audio/signal processing, distributed systems

Qualification:
Bachelor’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics
Master’s degree preferred
Background in telecommunications or signal processing is a plus
