Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Database Specialist to design, implement, and optimize database systems, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL Server, Python scripting, and data warehousing, with experience in industries such as oil & gas, finance, or healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain robust database systems using SQL Server to support business operations.
Develop and optimize data models to improve data integrity and system performance.
Perform database tuning and optimization to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Design and manage data warehouse and data lake solutions, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
Utilize Python for database automation, scripting, and advanced data analysis.
Administer and maintain Windows servers to ensure seamless database operations.
Build and maintain data visualization tools and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, providing timely support to end-users.

Requirements:

5-10 years of experience in database management and administration.
Strong expertise in SQL Server, including database design, implementation, and optimization.
Proven experience in data modeling, database tuning, and performance optimization.
Hands-on experience with data warehouse and data lake solutions (certification preferred).
Proficiency in Python for database automation, scripting, and analysis.
Certification in Windows Server administration.
Experience with ETL tools and processes for data integration.
Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in oil & gas, finance, or healthcare industries.
Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
