Datacentre Engineer with formal IT qualification and minimum 3 years’ experience in a networking and telecommunications support environment, required for the maintenance, administration and day-to-day operations of the company’s datacentre services.

Datacentre Engineer with formal IT qualification and minimum 3 years’ experience in a networking and telecommunications support environment, required for the maintenance, administration and day-to-day operations of the company’s datacentre services.
Minimum requirements:
- IT Diploma/Degree/Certificate in IT required
- Microsoft 365 knowledge required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a networking and telecommunications support environment required
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware required
- Hyper-V experience essential
- Expert knowledge and understanding of VMWare, Sharepoint and VOIP essential
- Experience in support and configuration of cloud services (Azure, AWS) preferred
- Financial Services industry experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance, administration and day to day operations of datacentre services
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including software, applications software, hardware and configurations
- Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups
- Protect data, software and hardware – coordinate, plan and implement network security measures
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware, software and other network and system problems
- Improve in process and technology to increase productivity and stability
- Replace faulty infrastructure hardware components
- Maintain, configure and monitor virus protection software and email applications
- Monitor network performance
- Engage with network users and solve existing system problems
- Design, configure and test networking software, computer hardware and operating system software
- Pro-active cyber security awareness, implementation and compliance
