JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the automotive industry is seeking a experienced Dealer Principal, to join their team in Mthatha, the Eastern-Cape.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Dealer Principal – Motor Industry
Industry: Automotive
Location: Eastern Cape – Mthatha
Salary: Basic / Quarterly Incentives / Fuel & Cell phone

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Email Subject – DP Mthatha
Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
A relevant tertiary qualification NQF6+ (e.g., sales/ marketing/ business management) qualification - an added advantage.
Other Requirements:
Valid, unendorsed driver’s license and the ability to drive competently and legitimately.
Computer literate: MS Office and dealer lead management system.
Knowledge of dealership policies and procedures.
Knowledge of competitive motor industry.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Communication (i.e., spoken and written business communication).
Interpersonal skills (i.e., building rapport).
Sales management and marketing skills, knowledge and experience in the retail automotive context is necessary.
Business acumen/ commercial astuteness.
Relationship management with OEM and other relevant stakeholders.
Customer service management.

EXPERIENCE:

The individual we are looking to employ must meet the minimum requirements and under no circumstances will exceptions be made.
The successful candidate would be responsible for the running of the entire dealership.

Manage all aspects of the dealership and encourage an effective and positive teamwork.
Recruit and retain skilled staff.
Monitor sales, workshop and parts departments and ensure profitability.
Improve stock turnover, increase sales, ensure customer satisfaction and standards.
Control cash flow, stock and assets.
Reporting targets and standards to Head Office.
Ensure compliance and legislative changes.
Business planning and cost savings initiative.
