My client a leading and fast-growing Retailer with offices in Montague Gardens requires the services of an AFRIKAANS AND ENGLISH SPEAKING Debt Collector.

Overview:

The Debt Collector collects on delinquent accounts, maintains good customer relations with debtors and effectively solves problems in an effort to resolve account delinquency and prevent losses.

Duties:

· While adhering to company policies and procedures, demonstrates good customer service skills while initiating outbound calls and receiving inbound calls from customers.

· Negotiates payment plans with debtors and accurately inputs and documents actions within the collection system.

· Follow up on broken promise to pay.

· Maintains up-to-date customer contact information in the collections system.

· May be required to support other queues to facilitate teamwork in the department.

· Escalates and assists other team members with calls as needed.

· Serves as an expert in specific area and may provide training to fellow team members

· Meet monthly collection targets

· Adhere to the code of conduct as per the Debt Collectors Act and National Credit Act.

· Keep up to date on policy changes

· May be required to perform other duties as assigned
