JOB SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity for a Debtors Accounts Clerk within the Logistics sector has opened up. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Objectives:

Perform Administration Functions
Handling and Resolving of queries

Customer Services

Handling of incoming & outgoing calls professionally
Timeously responding to all queries/complaints
Listening attentively to queries/complaints
Clarifying customer problems
Follow up customer queries/complaints
Keeping the customer and relevant stakeholders updated
Entrenching good rapport with customers

Financial

Balancing of Circulation Cash received to weekly sales reports
Perform reconciliation Functions
Preparation of Debtors Risk Analysis Reports
Preparation of Times Daily Subs Billing & the reconciliation thereof
Perform full credit control function
Preparation of the Circulation Revenue & Commission Report

Individual development

Take responsibility for own self development

Qualifications

Matric or equivalent

Advantageous:

Preferably having completed a financial qualification or be studying towards one

Related work experience

Preference of two to three years credit control experience within the newspaper industry

Job Knowledge

Reconciliation procedures
Administration skills – faxing, filing, sorting, telephone handling
Basic Accounting skills
MS Office – Must be computer literate in MS-Office (Excel at an advanced level, Word, Outlook & Sage)
SAGE

Good interpersonal skills and be able to interact effectively at all levels.
Good organisational skills
Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
Customer orientated
Proactive
Applicant should be meticulous and accurate
