POSITION INFO:
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing finance team that keeps the business running smoothly while driving growth in a creative, entrepreneurial environment.

Our client is looking for a meticulous and proactive Debtors Clerk who thrives in a dynamic, high-paced setting. You will take full ownership of the debtor’s book, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely collections across multiple platforms. If you are detail-obsessed, financially savvy, and love turning numbers into meaningful action then this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain an accurate debtor’s book across retail, wholesale, and online channels
Monitor account aging, perform reconciliations, and allocate payments efficiently
Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve queries promptly
Process credit notes and verify returns for e-commerce and wholesale clients
Build and maintain professional relationships with customers to ensure smooth collections
Prepare regular debtors reports and support the Finance Manager with audits and compliance
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Business
5+ years’ experience in debtors/accounts receivable, ideally within retail or a multi-channel business
Advanced Excel and financial reporting proficiency
Strong understanding of ERP systems (Odoo ERP preferred)
Proven experience in customer account management and dispute resolution
Familiarity with multi-currency transactions and international accounts
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Highly organized, self-driven, and accountable
Thrives under pressure in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
