Debtors Manager

SUMMARY:
Debtors Manager - AA- Parktown

POSITION INFO:

To effectively manage and co-ordinate the Debtors Department - 6 x Debtors Clerks and 1 x cash clerks

Manage all accounts receivable functions
Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts receivable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines and address any risks identified
Manages intercompany transactions
Sets objectives for the account receivable team that align with the accounting department’s goals
Report on credit notes passed (including re-invoicing), report deviations to ME
Housekeeping on data integrity
Follow up on internal audit findings relating to debtors
Maintain customer categories/groups ect
Maintain "group" invoicing
Report on base revenue movement
Report to finance silo on daily cash collections
Record/maintain/approve customer credit checks
Maintain customer credit limits
Monitoring processing of invoices
Ensure timely collection of payments
Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc forecasting reports
Organize records of invoices, bills and deposits
Ensure high-quality invoicing and collection procedures that comply with the law
Ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout our entire accounts receivable process
Ensure all team members follow the accounting principles
Stay updated on industry and legislative changes
Allocate cash collections on ERP system
Run Annuity Rentals
Run Customer Statements
Revenue recon balancing at group level

Qualifications and Requirements:

BCom Degree/National Diploma in Accounting or Finance
N/A
Grade 12
Code 08
+10 years full Debtors and Accounting experience
+10 years Managerial experience
Sound accounting knowledge
Good planning and organizing skills
Experience with process mapping and process flow diagrams
MS Excel (Formulas; tables, pivots, charts)
MS Outlook (Creating data files, automating rules to manage incoming emails, conditional formatting rules)
