JOB SUMMARY:
Depot Manager – Rustenburg & Lephalale Polokwane

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The incumbent will be responsible for the entire administration, sales and operations process in the depot and plan for the smooth and most cost-effective running of the department.

Education, Experience and Competencies:

ØGeneral Business Management Acumen (min 10-15 years Supervisory and Management experience).

ØStrong Logistics/ Operations/Business Management/Toilet Hire/Hygiene/Cleaning/Pest experience.

ØDegree/ National Diploma in Logistics/Business Management/Operations Management.

ØProven experience in management of skilled, unskilled/ semi-skilled labour.

ØMust be proficient in standard Microsoft programmes.

ØPrevious Mining Experience an advantage.

ØEntrepreneurial personality or character traits.

ØProven experience in managing a multi-faceted and multi-dimensional role such as this.

Key Responsibilities and Functions:

ØMaintain and/or implement branch strategic objectives in line with overall company strategy.

ØEnsure growth targets are achieved against plan and prior year.

ØManagement of operational assets including stock, vehicles, consumables, maintenance requirements of vehicles and stock.

ØBuild a relationship with various top clients to ensure thorough knowledge of the clients’ requirements and regulations to ensure that our staff and assets always comply.

ØResponsible for planning and distribution of company assets to achieve maximum efficiency in servicing and collection/ delivery of stock and services.

ØResponsible for budgeting and forecasting of revenue and profitability.

ØResponsible for meeting agreed set targets and developing necessary action plans to overcome variances.

ØRecruit staff, performance manage subordinates, discipline and dismiss in a manner that ensures that the company gets maximum productivity whilst not exposing the company to any risk.

ØEnsure staff are trained and motivated to assist them in growing and achieving goals in line with the company vision.

ØOverall responsibility for maintaining and improving Health and Safety standards in line with national Health and Safety Objectives.

ØResponsible for ensuring prescribed financial process are implemented and adhered to.

ØResponsible for Monthly Reports to line manager

ØMaintain customer relations throughout the customer base.

ØManage and control COS and Overheads to budget.

ØManage contract timelines with regards to implementation, renewals, terminations and price adjustments.

ØAssist in providing knowledge and expertise to outer lying depots in region and to when required.
