Depot Manager - Somerset West

POSITION INFO:

Our client, a rental service company in events, construction and building is looking for a self-motivated Depot Manager for their branch, situated in Somerset-West. The ideal candidate is an accurate, organized person with a combination of well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to prioritize and perform under pressure.

The successful individual will work closely with the Operational Manager of the company.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

Grade 12
Diploma in Management/Logistics and Marketing will be advantageous
Relevant industry experience in a similar position
Hands on technical requirements i.e. logistics and technical machinery will be beneficial
Excellent numerical skills
Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English)
Strong computer skills (MS Office)
Driver''''s license Code 8 (EB)and reliable transport;

Responsibilities:

Manage day to day depot functions
Manage depot staff
Ensure effective running of the depot which includes daily services, deliveries and collections
Manage depot budget and profitability of the depot
Work closely with Ops manager in planning and execution of ad hoc tasks
Work closely with events team
Good record keeping essential
Ensure safe working environment
Keep team motivated
Ongoing marketing to grow business

Benefits: The successful incumbent will be allocated a company vehicle for operational requirements only as well as a cellphone with a cellphone contract.
