SUMMARY:
Our client in the Public Sector has an EE opportunity available for a Deputy Director/Administrative Coordinator for the Disaster Operation Centre. This will be fixed term contract position for 18 months, based in the Centurion area.

Requirements:

A 3-year Degree or National Diploma in Disaster Management or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in disaster risk management or related fields
Report writing, analytic and planning skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access proficiency.
This role may include 12 hour working shifts from period when Disaster Operation Centre (DOC) is activated

KPAs:

Coordinate and support implementation of key operations in relation to disaster risk management with special emphasis on COVID-19 response and related hazards and disasters.
Support and technically direct the operations of the Disaster Operations Centre (DOC) during period of activation.
Quality assuring, assessing and summarizing content of incoming and outgoing submissions, reports and correspondences relating to the DOC.
Coordinate DOC reporting on disaster management operations.
Coordinate submission of Contingency Plans for operationalization by the DOC, activation of and regular reporting on contingency plans (national, provincial and municipal).
