Deputy General Manager

SUMMARY:
Resort close to Harrismith is looking for a Deputy General Manager with strong Front Office / Rooms Division skills.
 
This position will be ideal for an experienced Front Office Manager looking for a new challenge.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

Support the General Manager in all aspects of the business to meet the budget and objectives set and to deputise in his absence
Management of Housekeeping, Rooms and Front Office departments
Managing direct reports
Liaising between teams to ensure that all aspects of the guests stay are well produced and coordinated
Liaising and spending time with guests to ensure that all their requests and feedback are appropriately followed through
Cost Control: support the HOD’s to manage their budgets and ensure that costs are controlled, and internal processes are followed
Ensure that procurement is effective and sourced locally wherever possible
Compliance with all statutory and legal requirements, including fire, Health and Safety, licensing and employment

Requirements:

Grade 12
A formal hospitality qualification.
Resort / Timeshare experience will be an advantage
Front Office / Rooms Division experience essential
Opera Cloud and Micros Symphony experience will be an advantage would be advantageous.
