POSITION INFO:
They are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior Design Engineer to join their Power Distribution Systems team. In this role, you will assist in the design, development, and implementation of electrical distribution systems for a variety of projects, including industrial, commercial, and residential developments. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers, gaining valuable experience and mentorship in power systems engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and drafting of power distribution systems, including substations, transformers, switchgear, and cabling
• Support the development of single-line diagrams, layout drawings, and detailed electrical schematics
• Perform calculations and simulations to ensure systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil and mechanical engineers, to ensure integrated project solutions
• Review and interpret technical specifications, codes, and standards related to power distribution systems
• Assist in preparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in field visits and inspections to verify system designs and support the installation process
• Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts during the commissioning phase of projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of electrical power systems, including distribution networks and components
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC, IEC)
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other electrical engineering tools
• Basic understanding of power distribution equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and protection systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
