Essential functions:
- Proven experience leading and directing design thinking for a wide range of products.
- Proven ability to manage a team.
- Experience performing in a fast paced, high stress design process independently.
- Experience communicating both written and verbal to key Business stakeholders.
- Fully competent in presenting designs and solutions to executives and large groups in a professional manner.
- Proven experience mentoring or managing other designers.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and modern JS libraries/frameworks.
- Experience spreading the gospel of design through teaching, publishing, speaking etc. advantageous
- Experience designing for omni-channel services advantageous
- Proven Design Lead experience advantageous
Skills and Experience:
Essential Qualification:
- Matric certificate essential
- Portfolio of UX/UI or product design-focused work samples for web and mobile application.
- Human Centred/Interaction Design certifications from accredited design schools are advantageous
Qualifications preferred:
- Professional Informatics / UX / Design Thinking certifications are advantageous
- An advanced degree in a relevant field, e.g. design, innovation, etc. is advantageous.
Experience required:
- 8 years plus professional working experience,
- 2 â?? 3 years as a senior designer.
