We are recruiting a User Interface Designer to join our team in Johannesburg.

Our ideal candidate must be fully competent in presenting designs and solutions to executives and large groups in a professional manner. Have proven experience mentoring or managing other designers.

Skills and Experience:
Qualification Required:

Matric certificateÂ

Portfolio of UX/UI or product design-focused work samples for web and mobile application.

Human Centred/Interaction Design certifications from accredited design schools are advantageous

Peferred Qualifications:

Professional Informatics / UX / Design Thinking certifications are advantageous

An advanced degree in a relevant field, e.g. design, innovation, etc. is advantageous.

Experience required:

8 years plus professional working experience.

Experience designing for omni-channel services advantageous

Proven Design Lead experience advantageous

Experience performing in a fast paced, high stress design process independently.

Experience communicating both written and verbal to key Business stakeholders.

2 â?? 3 years as a senior designer.

Key Accountabilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:

Proven experience leading and directing design thinking for a wide range of products.

Proven ability to manage a team.

Fully competent in presenting designs and solutions to executives and large groups in a professional manner.

Proven experience mentoring or managing other designers.

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and modern JS libraries/frameworks.\

Experience spreading the gospel of design through teaching, publishing, speaking etc. advantageous
